Thanks to all who Responded. The problem seems to be related to the Ram + Virtual Memory Settings on the computers. However, the rule of RAM + Virtual memory having to be less that 2.1 GB didn’t seem to apply. The machine has 1GB RAM and in order for the geo-processing wizard to run, the minimum paging file size could not exceed 500mb(actually somewhere between 500-600mb). When it was set to 600mb, the wizard would bail. Also, the maximum paging file size parameter didn’t seem to be an issue. Once again, Thanks. -----Original Message----- From: Jason Pond [mailto:jason.pond@themcgregorgroup.com] Sent: Tuesday, November 06, 2001 4:25 PM To: 'Esri-l@esri.com' Cc: 'Arcview-l@esri.com' Subject: ArcView(ArcMap) Geoprocessing Bail Hi Users, My organization just upgraded to ARC GIS 8.1. We have installed Arc View 8.1 on three machines in the office. However, on two of the three machines, the geo-processing wizard bails and the program crashes during processing. However, on one of the machines it works fine. I was wondering if anyone else out there has run into a similar problem. The two machines that the program bails are P IV 1Ghz dell machines with 1Gb of ram, running win 2000 professional…service pack II. It runs fine on a PIII 666 with win 2000 professional with 256mb ram. I am wondering if it could possible be a P IV processor conflict ?…….something unique to dell? Thanks and will sum !!! -------------- Jason T. Pond Resource Analyst The McGregor Group Tel: (250) 612-4058 Fax: (250) 612-4070 Mailing Address: P.O.
